About Me

Edie Magnus Profile Image
Edie Magnus has been doing storytelling and straight talk for more than 20 years.
An experienced and confident voiceover professional, she will interpret and deliver copy as believably and persuasively as you imagine without handholding. She understands what’s required to express your message with clarity, passion and conviction.

If you need someone to sell your product, teach your patients, employees, or students, raise support and money for your organization, and to elevate and energize your goals — you’re right where you belong.

If you want someone who can take directions, who will collaborate creatively when you need it, who will meet your timetable and your budget — you’ve come to the right place.

In her other life, Edie is the Executive Director of Media and Innovation for Mercy College, a private not for profit institution based in Westchester, NY. She is the voice of the college on radio and TV, a consultant to Mercy Business Television, and lectures on television journalism and business communications.

Edie has been seen all over the world as a correspondent and anchor for ABC, CBS, and NBC Networks; at MSNBC and CNBC on cable; at the syndicated television program “USA Today the Television Show,” and at PBS as a special correspondent to “Worldfocus” as well as the host of several documentary specials for public television. Her work has focused most significantly on the industries of health, medicine, wellness, and mental illness.

Ms. Magnus is on the Board of Advisors of Shatterproof, the first national organization dedicated to battling the disease of addiction, to ending the silence and shame associated with it, and to making changes in public policy to bridge the enormous gap in resources for the disease.

A graduate of Middlebury College with a B.A. in English Literature, and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership, Ms. Magnus is married to television producer Robert Mayer. They have two sons and live in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York.

Want to have a good laugh?
First, there’s the hair. Can you imagine how long it took in the makeup room teasing and spraying it within an inch of it’s life to look like this? Took more than 15 years to calm down! Then, there are the looks. You’ll see. They speak for themselves.
Time Travel: The Hair

HOW’S THIS FOR A LOCAL NEWS HEADLINE?

THE GOOD NEWS: USA TODAY THE TELEVISION SHOW PREMIERED IN AN UNPRECEDENTED NUMBER OF TELEVISION MARKETS NATIONWIDE. THE BAD NEWS: IT WAS A FLOP. OFF THE AIR IN MONTHS. THE GOOD NEWS AGAIN: GOT TO KEEP ALL THE MONEY. YIPPEE!

STRIKING RESEMBLANCE TO THE NEW BETTY CROCKER

THE TRUTH: I’M NOT MUCH OF A COOK.

ONCE A CROSSWORD CLUE IN THE NEW YORK TIMES!

THEN IT CHANGED TO “FALCO OF THE SOPRANOS”. SUCH IS FAME.
